Section A

Student Discipline Regulations

The following rules apply to all students while on campus and during any activity associated with Lahore School of Management.

1. Interaction Between Opposite Genders

  • Opposite genders must maintain a respectful distance at all times while on campus.
  • Physical contact, including handshakes or any inappropriate gesture, is strictly prohibited.
  • Sitting in pairs in secluded areas, corners, empty classrooms, or behind buildings is not allowed.
  • Students must avoid creating situations that compromise the decorum or reputation of the institution.
  • Any behavior considered close, intimate, or inappropriate by the Disciplinary Committee will be treated as misconduct.

2. Smoking

  • Smoking cigarettes, vapes, e-cigarettes, shisha pens, or any tobacco/nicotine product is strictly prohibited within and outside campus premises.
  • Possession of smoking devices on campus is also discouraged and may be confiscated.
  • Students must not smoke near entrances, washrooms, classrooms, cafeteria, parking area, or any spot within the institution.

3. Misbehavior with Faculty or Staff

  • Students are expected to speak politely and respectfully with all faculty, administration, staff, and security personnel.
  • Misconduct includes shouting, arguments, disobedience, insulting remarks, threatening behavior, or non-cooperation.
  • Disrespecting instructions given by the staff or undermining their authority will be treated as a serious violation.
  • Any attempt to influence or pressurize a staff member is strictly prohibited.

4. Jumping or Misusing Campus Boundary Walls

  • Students must not climb, jump, or use the boundary wall for entry or exit.
  • Unauthorized movements near boundary walls or attempting to bypass gates/security checks are strictly prohibited.

5. Damage or Misuse of University Property

  • Students are responsible for protecting campus property including furniture, computers, labs, classrooms, sports equipment, and electrical devices.
  • Causing damage, writing or drawing on walls/furniture, breaking items, displacing equipment, or misusing facilities is strictly prohibited.
  • Any accidental damage must be reported immediately to administration.

6. Use of Abusive, Vulgar, or Offensive Language

  • Students must communicate respectfully with peers and staff at all times.
  • The use of abusive, insulting, vulgar, or inappropriate language in classrooms, corridors, cafeteria, or any part of campus is prohibited.
  • Verbal fights, shouting, or creating a disturbance will result in disciplinary action.

7. Student ID Card Requirement

  • All students must wear and display their official LSM student ID card upon entering the campus and while moving inside the university.
  • Students without an ID card will be fined Rs. 200 and may be denied entry.
Section B

Common Disciplinary Actions

(Applicable to Rules 1, 2, 4 & 6)

First Misconduct

  • Fine of Rs. 5,000
  • Ineligibility for bonafide letter,character certificate, and Transcript
  • Issuance of a show-cause notice
  • Parents/guardian will be informed

Second Misconduct

  • Immediate suspension from the university without notice
  • Additional fine may be charged
Section C

Special Disciplinary Actions

The following disciplinary measures apply specifically to misconduct involving faculty/staff and damage to university property.

1. Misbehavior with Faculty or Staff (Rule 3)

First Misconduct:

  • Fine of Rs. 5,000
  • Loss of eligibility for official certificates
  • Show-cause notice issued + parent/guardian notification
  • University reserves the right to suspend the student on the first incident depending on severity.

Second Misconduct:

  • Immediate suspension without notice
  • Additional fine will be imposed

2. Damage to University Property (Rule 5)

  • Fine will be charged according to the nature, extent, and cost of damage.
  • Additional disciplinary measures may be taken for intentional or repeated damage.

Important Note

Failure to comply with these regulations, repeated violations, or non-cooperation with disciplinary procedures may result in further strict action, including long-term suspension or expulsion, as deemed appropriate by the Disciplinary Committee.

All students must read, understand, and strictly follow these regulations for the smooth functioning and decorum of Lahore School of Management.
